You'll poke your eye out!

Did you hear that a lot when you were growing up?

Now as a parent do you hear yourself saying it?'s why....

  • 1 pen
  • 1 two yr. old
  • a cat scan
  • 12 hours spent in two different ER's
  • 12 stitches
  • 1 stint in the tear duct
  • many tears (by mommy and baby)
  • some sedation
  • and lots of prayers
Thankfully, it appears that there is no damage to his actual eye and they were able to get the stint in without a separate surgery.

  1. I my gosh! That picture is horrendous! You are all in our prayers.

  2. Goodness sakes! That poor baby! Poor mommy!!
Did he land on the pen or something? This will definaltey make me more aware of what the kid's are doing while holding pens and pencils.
I am so sorry you had to go through that.
I will keep you all in my prayers.

  3. Remember at the beach, David said what's next? Maybe you guys shouldn't ask that question anymore, EVER! I'm so sorry! I'm glad that his eye wasn't damaged!

  4. poor little guy! Hugs from the Roses!

  5. oh my!!!! one of my worst fears, i am always saying "don't run with pokeys!" they don't usually listen...

glad he is ok. wishing him a speedy recovery!

  6. When you said he couldn't open his eye I figured it was swollen but it looks worse than I imagined!!! Love to you and quick healing to William. Absolutely NO MORE drama, boring would be good.
