HOORAY for Ms. Anna

All Anna has talked about since school started has been the 3/4 grade play Geology Rocks.

Yesterday she auditioned and today she found out that she has a lead role!!!!

She is a very happy chickabidee today!

I know the posts have been few and far between lately, but with primary activities, sacrament meeting presentations, speech, ortho apts, hula dancing (more on that later!) and countless other demands on my time blogging has been pushed to the bottom of the list! Hopefully things will slow down soon and I will post some pics!

Something to Look Forward to

Last night Anna gave a lesson on the Plan of Salvation for Family Home evening. When she got to the resurrection she said we would not have any pain and we won't need glasses or surgeries.

Robert suddenly started jumping up and down pumping his fists in the air and shouting "YES! YES! I wone need tasses or surchees! YES! YES! I tan't wait"

And we thought he wasn't paying attention!

$32

That is how much I spent at Kohls today. Wannna know how much I got???

Well, I'm gonna tell ya...

2 church dresses
2 pair of shoes
3 Christmas gifts (can't go into detail on those for obvious reasons!)

I heart Kohls, because as good as that is, I have done even better there.

I Can't Wait!

I just ordered it and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival!!!
Has anyone read it yet?
What do you think?
Is it as good as the others?
I can't wait to find out!

Cute Baby Pics

When we re-did our bathroom this summer we took down the old mirror and I have been anxiously waiting ever since to get my hands on a baby to take some pictures with it. And look at what a cute little baby I ended up with! Here are some of my favorites!

And of course I had to shoot some of Robert and William just for kicks!

And the kids thought it was pretty fun to spin on the mirror!

My Handy Man

Not only can he build me custom shelves, he can fix my oven with only $30 and 15 minutes!

I think I'm in love. Good thing he's already mine!

A Favorite Destination!

When we looked at the calender and realized this would be our last chance for the beach we loaded up the car and headed out. The beach is one of our favorite destinations as a family and a big reason why we will probably never leave CA!

Okay... I apologize for yet another slide, but I started to pick out a few to post and just couldn't make up my mind. There were too many fun pictures this time!

Some highlights of this trip that you might catch in the pictures are...

Robert getting stung by a bee...ouch!

David enjoying the boogie board...fun!

pudding cups with no spoons...oops!

and Anna, Alahna and Robert all working together to did a big hole that was then washed away by an even bigger wave...just plain funny!

Last night and this morning

The boys have been sleeping in our room while grandparents were here for the baptism. When I went to bed last night this is how I found them. (Robert isn't in his pj's because he fell asleep on the couch. This weekend wore him out!)

And this morning the girls started the new school year. 4th grade for Anna, 2nd for Alahna. Here they are trying their best to smile in spite of the butterflies having a party in their little tummies.

And here they are just being themselves.... slightly crazy!

A Special Day

"Me, my Lord, baptize Thee?
Why comest Thou to me?"
And John the Baptist bowed his head
In deep humility.
But Jesus said with a gentle smile,
"let your heart be still.
Suffer it to be so now,
All righteousness fulfill."
So down the Jordan's shallow bank
Christ went with humble grace.
Into the stream John lowered Him
with wonder on his face.
When from the water Jesus came,
The heavens opened above.
God's holy Spirit came to earth,
A gift of His great love.
And now, my child, your turn has come,
You have been baptized too.
The Light of Christ is in your face
For all the world to view.

A New Currency

Here is how things work around our house... you do what your supposed to and good things happen.

these are the good things:

Aren't they cute? You can get them here.

The kids earn them and they can spend them on things like TV time, computer time, staying up 30 minutes past bedtime or whatever. I am loving it... and so are the chickabidees.

And I have to admit, it's kind-of cool to see your face on a dollar bill. When I told that to Anna she said, "I wonder if that's how George Washington felt."

I love being a mom....it makes me happy!

(Thank you Family Fun for the idea!)

4 Years Old

Robert turned 4 today and already thinks he should be allowed to stay home alone. And even though he's been asking me everyday for about a month "when's my birthday?" he kept getting confused on how old he was. One minute he was 4 the next he had skipped straight to 5. I am having a hard enough time believing he is 4! It seems like yesterday he was just a little thing in my arms.

In spite of being a little sick he still had a fun day. He loved his presents and the extra attention. He was most excited to get money from Grandma for a trip to Toys R Us. (He came home with a lawnmower of all things!) We were supposed to go to Chuck E Cheese, but he was still to sick for that. But not to worry... he won't let us forget and as soon as we can squeeze it in.... we will.

Harpy Birthday little man. We love you!

(And what do you think of his new Buzz Lightyear patch? Cute, huh?)
