Gratitude List Day 15

Sisters and best friends.

I am very lucky to have sisters that are also my best friends. I am also very happy that Anna and Alahna are growing up as best friends. Most days they are inseparable, and it's common to find them snuggled up together at night.

Gratitude List Day 12

Brave little boys.

We took the training wheels off Robert's bike and he is having fun learning to ride it. I thought he would be done riding for the day after he fell and got scraped up a little, but he as soon as the blood was cleaned up he said, "otay, now I'm ready to ride some more."

Gratitude List Day 4

Warranties.  Especially on children's frames.

This will be the 4th time in 7 months that Wal-Mart will have replaced Robert's frames at no cost to us.

Upside Down

Robert has been spending a lot of time upside down lately "working on his headstands."

This is how I found him this morning, and the girls were with me so I know he didn't have any help. I think he's getting pretty good at those headstands!

Gratitude List Day 3

Bed heads and a good nights sleep.

At breakfast this morning I asked the girls what they were feeling thankful for. They both drowsily replied,

"sleep."

If bed head is an indicator of a good night's sleep, I think they slept pretty good!

Another Veteran

The picture in the previous post is of my father in his Air Force uniform.

My father-n-law is also a veteran. He served in Vietnam.

Click here to see some of his army pics.

Gratitude List Day 2

Freedom. And the men and women who protect it.

Gratitude List Day 1

So with Thanksgiving approaching I have found myself thinking of all the many things in my life I am grateful for. So my goal is post something that I am grateful for everyday leading up to Turkey Day. They are not in any kind-of order, just what happens to be on my mind at the time.

So today...  it's my treadmill, aka my therapist, that I am feeling thankful for. It's how I start my day and keep my sanity.  I always feel good about life after a good run and without my treadmill those runs would be too few.

Thank you David for seeing my need almost 6 years ago and buying me my very own personal therapist.

Joy to my Ears!

Today the children participated in their sacrament meeting presentation for primary and I could not be prouder! Anna sang a beautiful solo and Alahna played a wonderful piece on the piano. They also said their parts clearly and with poise. What beautiful and talented young ladies they are becoming!

And this was Robert's first program. He has been so excited to sit on the stand and talk in the microphone. He had his part memorized and when it was his turn he turned to his teacher, who had been helping his fellow sunbeams, and said, "I know my part." He then said his part almost perfectly. And the most exciting part is..... HE SANG one of the songs! He was several beats off and I am not sure that he was singing the right words, but I don't even care...  HE SANG!

A haunting we did go.

Is spite of my earlier grumblings we had a lot of fun. Watching William run in his little giraffe costume was enough to make it all worth while! And between trunk-or-treating at the church and trick-or-treating they now have enough candy to last them until next Halloween!

And of course we had to carve pumpkins...

William thought it was pretty cool!

Can you tell by his face how disgusted he is? But he did it anyway, which is a first!

Alahna did most of it by herself this year. And she did great!

You can't tell by this picture, but Anna LOVES digging in and getting dirty!

And here's the final products. I think they turned out pretty good!

William's,  Robert's,  Anna's,  Alahna's
