The kids have been earning drachmas this last component for doing things like Latin, piano, math, being ready for school on time, etc. Today all their hard work was rewarded as we had an auction with a couple of other families.
Anna followed in her father's footsteps and held close to her money, only buying a banana bread kit, and still having more than half of her drachmas. She's got a good head start for the next auction!
Alahna came home with fresh strawberries, Bath and Body Works body spray and lotion, 2 bracelets and a pack of gum. She was a little more liberal with her money but still has some left over.
Robert bid on almost everything and came home with Sour Patch Kids, golf balls, and a little LED flashlight.
William was constantly bidding with money he didn't have, but still managed to end up with play-dough, a coloring kit, and some candy. I think he may have had a generous benefactor. (and, no, it wasn't me.)
It was SO much fun, I'm already looking forward to the next one!
