Yummy new tradition
We normally use orange food coloring to make orange pancakes (a tradition I picked up from the Kearns'), but this morning I woke up thinking what if we made pumpkin pancakes. So I went to allrecipes.com and found this most amazing recipe. They are delicious! All 4 kids LOVED them! If you want the recipe go to allrecipes.com and type in pumpkin pancakes. It is the first one that comes up.

Prop 8 commercial
Check out this commercial for Yes on Prop 8. It is hilarious especially if you have ever seen Gavin Newsome the Mayor of San Francisco in action.

Robert's B-day? Ask him
2 weeks in a row Robert had the same conversation with his teacher when we arrived at speech. It went something like this.
Robert-I'm bee (three) years old!
Jackie-Your three.
Robert-today's my birthday!!!!(said while jumping up and down with excitement!)
Well this week she tried a new approach and as soon as she saw him she asked Robert, is today your birthday. He looked at her strangely for a couple seconds then laughed and said, "No silly, it's Anna's birthday!" I think Jackie gets a good laugh from him every week!
As a side note Robert decided to "give everything a name" in the playroom yesterday. He is very proud of himself. The only problem, it was done with red sharpie!

One more week
With a week left until election day we will be busy supporting prop 8. I just found out that tonight we will be making phone calls to voters then driving around collecting other peoples phone list and staying up late doing data entry. They are trying to find out who is planning on voting yes and then on election day making sure those people get to the polls. This phase of the "Yes on 8" campaign is supposed to be done tonight. Then on to the next phase! It looks like this next week will be a busy one. We will be glad when this is over and hopefully we can breathe a big sigh of relief!

We love solobambinis!
Modern Conveniences
You never really appreciate something until it is gone. Saturday night we came home from the church Halloween party, started to clean up the kitchen and realized the dishwasher is broken. AHHH! David thinks he can fix it so cross your fingers! Until then, Hello paper plates!

Happy Birthday Anna!
Well, I think Anna will remember her 9th birthday with fondness. On Tuesday, (her b-day) she took treats to her class, went out to eat at Red Robin, had cake and ice cream, and opened presents. Then on Friday David took her and Lahna to Knotts Berry Farm where they had the time of their lives! The park was pretty empty so they were able to ride all the rides several times without waiting in any lines! What a fun day!
