Happy Frog Day?
Robert was watching us prep the turkey when I asked him what we were making. He replied "a frog". I tried to correct him, but sometimes there is just no arguing with that kid. I had no idea frog was so yummy!

part II
So it turns out a little boy from down the street had wandered out in the middle of the night and was hit and killed by a drunk driver. Such a senseless tragedy. My heart is aching for this family. Makes me want to hold my sweeties a little longer and tuck them in a little tighter at night.
Sleepless Night
Not only were we having a hard time sleeping because we were worrying about Robert but at 2:30 in the morning the door bell rang. David went to the door to find a cop asking if we had a three yr old boy with blond hair wearing red pajamas. Well, Robert was wearing white pj's, but other than that yes we do. He asked us to go check on our kids which David did. Thankfully they were all safe and sound in bed. For the next hour we listened to sirens and "We have a three year old juvenile boy with blonde hair wearing red sleepers. If your child is missing please contact the police." being blasted through the neighborhood. Needless to say, we checked on our kids several times "just in case". It was a little unnerving. Hopefully whoever this kid was is now safe and sound.

LOVED IT!!!
Results
Well, we have done it again. We have fallen into that "it rarely happens" or "only about 1%" catagory again. I talked to the nurse at the hospital today and Robert has a tethered spinal cord along with something else that I can't for the life of me remember. They are transferring us to neurosurgery to see where we go from here. Probably more tests and surgery. We must be some kind-of statistical anamoly. Next time someone tell us "99% of the time it's fine" I will just laugh and tell them they can skip the tests.

rock park
Saturday we took a picnic to a place we call rock park. It is probably our favorite place to go in Victorville. We almost always have the place to ourselves and the kids get to climb, swing, and run and we get to relax. I think this is the first time we have gone and we didn't have anyone crawling and I wasn't pregnant. Sometimes it feels nice to be moving on to the next stage.

Robert's trip to space
Well, no, really just an MRI, but if you ask him he might tell you he went on a ride on a spaceship. He wasn't real thrilled about getting the IV in, but other than that he did very well. They told us he would be real sleepy all day and maybe some kids are, but not our RaRa, he is just as crazy as usual! Hopefully we will get results sometime next week.

Almost There
Well, Robert's MRI is tomorrow. David will leave here with him at 4:30 am to head down to the Children's Hospital in LA. They will put him under and the test should take an hour and a half. They will be checking for problems with his spinal cord that could be causing his toe walking and bowel problems. We are praying for the best, but have also prepared for the worst. I'll keep you posted! Here is a slide show of the little man that I made a couple of weeks ago.

Robertese, anyone?
Normally I can understand Robert pretty well, but he had me stumped for awhile today. We were on our way home from the park and he kept crying saying, "Pop da ba wi ba bing" If you can translate that you are amazing! Finally he said "It's under the radio" (I went ahead and translated that one for you!) and I realized he was talking about the gear shift. Apparantly that is how you stop a car and he wanted me to stop driving. I laughed and laughed when I finally figured it out!

I VOTED!
Well, today is the big day. We are praying that all our efforts pay off, but either way I am proud to have been a part of the yes on 8 campaign. I know everyone that has spent their time, effort, and money will be blessed. It is going to be a busy day as we make our last ditch efforts and then this weekend we are taking the phone off the hook and RELAXING!

happy halloween!
Trick or Treating with Robert was a lot of fun this year. He was very good at saying "trick or treat" and "thank you" and on the rare occasion that he forgot to say thank you he would cry and want to go back. (That is SO Robert.) One house was especially funny. After he said thank you and it was not responded with the typical "Happy Halloween" he told the lady, "when I say thank you, usually people say Happy Halloween." Of course she didn't understand a word he said, but we did, and got quite a laugh out of it. Remember last year when he was signing "candy please" all the time!
